Director Notes:
This musical fantasy is one of my favorites! Not just because of its whimsical storyline and catchy tunes, but because of its thought-provoking themes. The transformative power of imagination, the importance of challenging societal norms and the pressure to conform, and the showcasing of how a supportive and caring family can overcome any obstacle. The storyline, and humor throughout has something to offer for all ages.
This cast is huge, with a wide range of ages. Ages are suggested. They could be slightly younger or older. Everyone will be on stage a lot. The ensemble has much to do. Many dancing and singing numbers.
