Central to our success through the years are the many volunteers who
have helped to make it all happen! PGT has been very fortunate to
have volunteers who have put in countless hours to bring the magic to
the stage. From acting, directing, set construction, painting, costuming,
props, lights, sound, marketing, box office, front of house, bar, and the
list goes on….. our volunteers are essential and very much appreciated!

We need people to volunteer for the front of house. You will be either handing out programs, taking ticket stubs, selling raffle tickets, running the chair lift, or bringing up walkers or wheelchairs as needed. All will help pick up at the end of each show.
We ask that only people 12 or older volunteer unless a parent is with them. In this case, the parent will take tickets and the child will hand out programs.
Shows generally run Fridays at 7 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.; with a special Saturday night performance on the second weekend at 7 p.m. For a 7 p.m. show, volunteers need to arrive no later than 6 p.m. (the house opens for seating at 6:25 p.m.) and for a 2 p.m. show, volunteers need to arrive no later
than 1 p.m. (the house opens for seating at 1:25 p.m.). This gives us time to instruct all volunteers on the
job they will be assigned. It also allows time for preparations, such as folding programs.
If you are interested in volunteering for front of house, please email Beth Anne Galloway at
ladyannegirls@yahoo.com or call her and leave a message at (360) 731-9973. Let us know your name,
phone number or email, and what date and time you can volunteer, and we will get in touch with you
soon after your message is left.

Volunteers will need to be MAST (Mandatory Alcohol Server Training) certified. If you are interested in bartending but don’t have the certification, it is pretty easy to obtain for a minimal cost through an online
training course. Course fees will be reimbursed by PGT.
A non-Mast certified volunteer can assist at the bar (i.e., taking cash and working the iPad cash “register”) if you have a spouse or friend who’d like to volunteer with you.
If you would like to tend bar or assist the bartender, please contact Brad Camp at: volunteer@portgambletheater.com
Phone: (360) 977-7135. We would love to have you help out behind our beautiful antique bar.
If you would like to volunteer a little more become part of our production team. We would love to have you as part of our creative family.
Volunteer opportunities include: Directing, Stage Managing, Set Construction, Set Painting, Lighting, Sound, Costumes, Props, Marketing, and Box Office.
